Brooklyn Townhouse Sales Over $10MM

A record number of Brooklyn homes were sold for $10 million or more in 2022. There were 11 sales in that price tier last year (not including development sites or commercial sales), up from just three in 2021, reflecting an increasing desirability of brownstones and other large homes in the borough’s family-friendly neighborhoods.

Most of the homes that netted eight-figure prices last year are spread across the lush neighborhoods of brownstone Brooklyn — six in Brooklyn Heights, two in Park Slope, and one in Cobble Hill. Two homes in Gravesend also cleared the $10 million mark.

The trade with the highest price tag in Brooklyn last year was at 88 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights, a brownstone with a rear carriage house that sold for $18.3 million in September. It’s filled with original details, including crown molding and inlaid marquetry flooring, but it also has modern kitchens and bathrooms.

There are currently eight high-end townhomes on the market with asking prices over the $10 million threshold, including six in Brooklyn Heights, one in Cobble Hill, and one in Carroll Gardens.
